Hi guys!

Today we woke up around early so we could beat traffic on the way to the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences. We had been planning on going to the museum since a few says ago and I was going to go with Lauren (11), Aiden (9), Graysen (3 ¾) and their parents. We had fruit, crêpes and Nutella for breakfast.

BMW Motorrad Team in Houston TX.jpgMy Dad had to go to Gulf Coast BMW Motorcycles across the city as they donated two new tires for our bike. AND, our new friend Jerry gave us a free oil and filter change. 🙂 Dad also had to go to Best Buy and buy a SPOT locator so we could have a satellite tracking device in case of an emergency. He had to do some other errands as well so I stayed home for the first hour or so.

We left for the museum around 10 a.m. We soon arrived, parked, bought tickets and went to see a documentary about the ocean floor. When we were finished, Lauren and I took some pennies to one of those machines where you put in 51 cents and turn the crank and then a flat Penny with a design pops out. I got one with a Blue Morpho butterfly on it and she got one with a monarch butterfly on it.

After that we had a snack at McDonalds and went into the butterfly farm!
It was really cool in the butterfly farm because there weren’t only butterflies… there was an iguana, some fish and some insects as well! It was all very interesting (and a bit too hot!) and I learned a lot about oceans and butterflies!
Following the butterfly farm we came back to McDonalds to get some ice cream. We then took the ice cream outside to the park and ate while wading in a nearby “Japanese Pond of Reflection.” After the pond we piled back into the car and drove back to the house.

I Skyped with my teacher Madame Miller back home in Ontario for awhile 🙂

Then we jumped on the trampoline for a bit before we had a dinner of hot dogs, steak (cooked in Charles’ fancy green Egg barbecue), creamed spinach and some mashed potatoes! After dinner we played on Mario Cart Wii for a while before heading off to bed.

Heading to the Mexican border in the morning….

Bye everyone!
