Hey everyone!
Today we woke up bright and early (around 8) and had some tacos for breakfast. We had plans to visit the Texas Children’s Hospital and get a full, guided tour.
When we arrived at the Children’s hospital, we met some RE/MAX and CMN coordinators there and we waited in the lobby for a camera man and a sound guy who were going to film us for the whole day!
A woman who worked at the hospital named Sarah gave us our tour and brought us to the third floor where we were shot (by the cameras) at all different angles. For basically everything that we would do, she would generally give us a brief run-through of what she was going to tell/ask us, then she would tell the camera man and the sound guy her plan. Then the camera man would say “Rolling!” And she would tell/ask us things about the hospital.
Then they would redo it, so she would have to re-say all of the stuff that she had said. Then if there was any background noise we would redo it AGAIN, then we would shoot us entering/exciting the room(s). It was really neat to meet some of the kids who were in the Children’s Hospital. It was weird to imagine going through the things that they had all gone through and were going through but it was nice to see how happy some of them were to be playing in the waiting rooms. It took about four hours from beginning till end of the hospital tour and I had sooooo much fun the whole time! It felt good to know that the kids were in such great hands!
After the hospital we left for the RE/MAX Fine Properties office of Houston, Texas.

Unlike many of the past offices that we’ve visited, this one was expecting us to come and so there were about 30 agents there. There are 110 agents at the office that we went to but we were grateful for the 30 or so that came. All of them signed the flag and were able to have little parts in our “Movie”.
Dana Tuggle, from RE/MAX head office, brought us out for Mexican food at a little TexMex place just down the road. After eating, we came back to the RE/MAX, said farewell to the agents and re-shot a few scenes at the office. We then went to a park that was down the road from their office with a beautiful fountain and benches everywhere. We then found the camera crew and began our individual interviews.
First they did my Dad’s, then mine. Some of the questions we got done in one take whereas some took up to ten due to background noise, pedestrian interruption and (mostly) me messing up ;).
It was hard to film in the park because there were planes flying by and people with strollers or dogs or children walking by. It got kind of windy near the end of the shooting and the sun went behind a big cloud that never left the sky.
When we finished with the interviews we packed up and they got some shots of us on the side streets and some shots of us on the freeway. We continued along the freeway with them beside us until we took separate exits and they went back to their homes.
We then went to the monthly meeting of the BMW Club of Houston and they were so great! We got to do a presentation, eat pizza, talk, receive presents and I got to choose the winning ticket (from the game 50/50) from the box! The winner (our new friend Jerry Matson) was also the former president of the BMW Club of Houston and he brought his winnings over to our table and gave the money to us for fuel for our ride south! After the club, we came back to the wonderful El Moussa home. We rode back at about 10pm so the traffic wasn’t bad at all, unlike earlier today when it was a zoo!
When we got back we were sooo tired we just came in, plopped ourselves down and starting using the wifi to get caught up on the days events. I really enjoyed filming today and I hope that we can go have another chance to do some more in the future!
Bye!
