The RE/MAX – Children’s Miracle Network Connection

Bruce and Mary Johnson were newly married and Bruce was in the first year of his real estate career at RE/MAX of Wasaga Beach when their first child, Alyssa Rae was born. At that time, his brokerage was recognized as the leading per-agent contributor to the Children’s Miracle Network’s “Miracle Home Program.”

The Children’s Miracle Network is celebrating its 35-year anniversary! Since 1983, the organization has raised more than $4.7 billion—most of it $1 at a time—for 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of the mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

Right now there’s a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital working to save the lives of kids in your community. Some are battling cancer. Some are suffering from a traumatic injury. Others require constant care because they were born too early, or with a genetic disease. Regardless of why the kids are there, 177 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals always have their doors open.

By supporting the highest priority needs at SickKids, YOU reach the greatest number of children and have the broadest possible impact on your community. Each year, SickKids sees more than 300,000 patients visit from Ontario and across Canada. The Emergency Department at SickKids registers one patient every 10 minutes and resuscitates a dying child every 16 hours.

For over two decades, RE/MAX has supported children’s hospitals throughout North America, advancing pediatric health care to the level of excellence the Johnson family can attest to experiencing at SickKids.
